Was there ever a time when you have nothing else to wear but your old clothes, that you borrowed some clothes from your other siblings?
I used to borrow my eldest sister's clothes when I was in high school. I don't have a job yet so my clothes are just those what they buy or give me..Most especially when I have a big date and I kinda wanna impress the guy, i would chose the latest trend in my sister's closet. She's already earning at that time, so she can afford to buy the latest fashion..She allowed me to use some so i would look different and matured..

I sometimes borrow my brother's t shirt if i feel like wearing one especially during hot weathers..i own shirts too but they are fitted on my body and it makes me sweat even more during summer so what i do is borrow theirs which is quite bigger to what i own..^_^ [kaezy_kulet]

Hi. I have elder brother and he is really nice to me. When ever he visits the market he surely brings something for me and he does have a good taste in cloths, so I don't really borrow cloths from him, he simply gives me whatever he have and I ask for. [coolmailraj]

Yup my elder brother would let me wear his tees and my cousin sister would send all her old clother for me. They were always good and i could use those clothes and that saved me a lot of money. I liked the sharing of clothes [gabbarsingh]

actually people who live in China they dislike borrow clothes from others, because they think it is not clean if the clothes have been wear by other people. if someone need some clothes, people can give one or two instead of borrow them, or even say no, or some beautiful words for answering that. as I more 40 years experience, I have never borrow clothes from other people and been borrowed by others, that's a habit. Once I needed new tennis shorts and the people I was staying with simply bought me new ones. They of course did not want them back, so I bought them a gourmet cheese basket as a thank you. Nah.. I am strict on that.. i never give my clothes to my brother.. i follow the policy of not to borrow others clothes or even give to others.. Once my brother used my shirt.. thinking that it was that of his one, unnoticed..and i had a fight with him.. Growing up, I never did borrow from my sisters but one of them did borrow from me occassionally and never did return the items.. Now we're older, neither can borrow from each other as we're all different sizes and that's great as I do not have to worry about items disappearing. I wish I had sisters to borrow clothes from! I grew up with just one older brother....so his clothes would kinda be out of the question. I was the youngest and the age gap between me and the other sisters are 10 years up, so, they cannot borrow my clothes because of the difference in size and fashion. Besides, they have lots of money so they can buy their own.. Unfortuatly I don't have any sister that I can barrow cloths from. But, of course I do have my mom and we can fit into one anothers closths so sometimes I do borrow her cloths. Haha this is quite a fitting one for me :p 95% of the time, I don't buy my own clothes, because I get so many given to me by my family that I don't need to! The other day, my little sister, who is 14, gave me all of her old clothes because they fit me now since I went from 14 stone to 10 stone. It's a good job she wears grownup-ish clothes! :p The rest of the time I get clothes from my aunty. She is in her 20's so she has the same sort of style as me. Hi eihdra, I did borrow my little sister clothes. lol Do you want to know why? I had to borrow from her because i don't have that kind of clothes.LOLOLOL. It's like girl's pijama, red scarf, and high heel. it's not like I don't have the money to buy them but I used them very rarely so why should I buy on those stuff. But there was sometimes I stuck on that. I had to go to some function and had to wear to those girlish stuff, so I just looked at my sister and borrow them from her.hehe.But for the most of the time, my brothers will bother on my running sneakers, shirt and sandals. I have wore clothes from my siblings, but it was a long time ago, I don't have either much clothes so sometimes I have to borrow some clothes of my brother, it is funny that my sister would borrow clothes from me, of course just shirts or jeans because since I am male, I don't have any females clothes, but I think I had some unisex clothes, so she would borrow from me, I don't think that I have borrow clothes from her because she didn't have any clothes that I would wear, she only had skirts and very female clothes, but now that I lived alone I don't have someone that I can borrow clothes from, or siblings that can ask me for clothes, anyway I don't need to borrow clothes now because I have enough on my closet, I remember once that I lost a good job because I don't have a suit to use in my interview, and since my brother moved just a few week ago of that I just lost the job, I was really depressed because I was not able to take this good job, but well now I would not had those problems, I think it is funny how little things can do a big difference in life, I never though that I would lost a good job just for don't have a suit, well I had one then but it was in laundry and I would not get it at time, anyway maybe it was just the fate that I would not take that good pay job. Yes, since my sister and I is almost the same size, we used to lend each others clothes. And it's fine to us. We usually offers something which we might think good for the occassion. I have also borrowed some T-shirt from my brother when I was pregnant, I just need some shirt which are big. I'm the eldest among three brothers so I cannot really borrow their clothes because I am bigger than they are. But I let them borrow mine as long as they like. Underwears not included by the way. I'm not comfortable when I know that my undies were once used by my brother. If it comes to my knowledge that they have worn it even un-intentionally, I would readily give it to them for their use. I have a sister. We do not borrow clothes regularly. However, in special occasions, say parties, or weddings and the like, we would borrow one from the other in order to make the dress beautiful. Usually our youngest sister will modify the clothes in order for us to look good. Its nice to have some sister to share things not just about clothes but mostly a lot of things. Sometimes we like to raid each others closest and make new awesome outfits. Then we do a photo shoot with my Nikon digital camera that I love. It gives me some photography experience for my photography classes and it is soooo much fun! [bestre]

Definitely yes, i remember when i was in my high school i use my brothers t-shirt to go to schools. I am a late bloomer that's why most of my clothes before is t-shirt. i look like a boyish and i don't have much clothes that time. Hello Friends, I was just reading the same question on the Beauty forum about products and thought I would carry it over here! Im really funny about letting people borrow clothes, I hate it when I get asked by friends. Im the even same with my basic stuff but more so the newer/ more expensive it was. I find myself making some really terrible excuses as to why they can't borrow something some of which are true but others are a bit ott! I have even told friends that I don't like lending my clothing but that seems to get forgotton after a while. If I do end up offering something its usually something I wouldn't be wearing again. Im not a total meany I promise and am more than happy to give friends, my time, money, lifts, opinions etc just not my clothes/bags/shoes. What do you say friends??? [momric]
